Criteria for Rating Structured Finance Transactions amended; existing Structured Finance Rating Criteria published under GCR’s new publication format
Johannesburg, 12 September 2019 – GCR Ratings (“GCR”) has amended its Criteria for Rating Structured Finance Transactions (“SF Criteria”), previously titled Global Master Structured Finance Rating Criteria ( “Global SF Criteria”), following the publication of its updated long- and short-term rating scale definitions. The updated short-term rating scale definitions no longer refer to an ‘A1-’ rating; the counterparty risk section of the Global SF Criteria has been amended accordingly. The amendment has no impact on the ratings of any Structured Finance transaction currently rated by GCR.
In addition, GCR’s existing Structured Finance rating criteria (the “Criteria”) have been published under the rating agency’s new publication format and criteria names. With the exception of the SF Criteria, the contents of the Criteria remain unchanged compared to their last publications in September and November 2018.
