West Coast District Municipality (WCDM or the District) is a category C municipality that is classified as a medium capacity municipality in terms of the implementation of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA). The District is made up of five municipalities; Matzikama in the North, Cederberg in the centre, and the Bergrivier, Saldanha Bay and the Swartland municipalities in the South. All the municipalities in this municipality have access to the Atlantic Ocean in the West.
